PIRE Project - CSIU/PA MSP Eval
The STEM/Hybrid Learning Math-Science Partnership project is funded by a grant to the CSIU from the PA Department of Education (PDE), using funds provided by the U.S. Department of Education. This two year project seeks to improve teacher content knowledge in mathematics and teacher instruction. It does this through an intensive 2 week summer institute and regular coaching through the school year. PIRE serves as the evaluator for the project and has developed and implemented the measurement of content knowledge and instructional practices. In addition, PIRE is conducting a formative evaluation and leads project reporting to PDE and to the U.S. Department of Education. Deliverables include processing and analysis of all evaluation data, a summer institute report, an annual report, and completion of the project 524B form. Evaluation team members include Matt Courser, Nick Holt, and Casey Shepherd.
