The WATCH project seeks to move low-income residents in the north central PA region off TANF and other cash assistance to self-sustaining health care careers. PIRE serves as the local evaluator for this project. In this role, we assist the project team in managing and implementing the federal impact evaluation, and manage a local evaluation. The local evaluation collects formative data for program improvement purposes (through surveys and focus groups), helps the project understand area employment needs/trends and participant needs (through semi-structured interviews and focus groups), and will design and implement a locally-responsive cost-benefit analysis. Throughout the 5 year award, PIRE also will be working with the WATCH team on sustainability planning.
